The Commission Process

A pet portrait is bursting with your pet's personality. While having a photo is an option, a painting is a delightful way to keep your beloved pet close to your heart. My fine art pieces also make a memorable, heartfelt gift for the pet lovers in your life!

My pet portraits are truly a work of art, not just a copy of your photo. I create them with great movement and expression, all from visible large strokes to the tiniest of detail. My paintings are acrylic and oil to achieve a realistic yet painterly effect. Bringing out your fur baby's characteristics in a lively, vibrant, and luminous way is my ultimate goal. I'm passionate about painting pets, their expressions, soul and character. I look forward to working with you!!

3. 1 or 2 clear, well lit (natural light is best) images of your fur baby
4. Due date:

    A. ASAP (1-2 weeks)     B. Prompt (1 -2 months)     C. Relaxed (2-3 months)

*With the information provided above, we will determine the difficulty level together. See Price List below for base price per size canvas.*If you're interested, I do offer payment plans. See the payment plan options below and include which option you would like. Note: Once the first payment is made, you secure your spot in my painting  queue. I will begin painting once I have received the 1st half of the total cost. *When the artwork is done, I will send a separate invoice for any remaining balance + shipping if applicable 

*Then your custom artwork will be on its way :)
 

I understand there is a natural reluctance to commission a custom original piece of art. The fear of “What if I don’t like the painting once it’s finished” is well founded. But I assure you, I’m easy to work with and we’ll have LOTS of fun. The finished painting will make your heart sing. If you’re recently married, I can take your photos of your bouquet or scenery from your honeymoon. Or maybe you’ve been on an especially amazing trip or long anticipated vacation. Perhaps there is an exotic location you daydream of visiting but don’t have the time to go. Let me take your visions and record them on canvas so you can enjoy remembrances of the place that holds sentimental value for you. Need a present for a person you love? 1. Once the first payment is made, I will mark the painting "SOLD" 
2. Artwork will continue to be displayed until the payment plan is completed
3. Shipping will be charged separately once payments are completed
4. Payments are nonrefundable
5. Payments have a 5 day grace period from the due date. If payment is not received within the 5 day period, artwork will be put back up for sale 

If You're ordering a custom/commissioned painting:

1. Once the first payment is made, I will add your project to my painting queue
2. I will begin the painting process on your painting when your order number comes up in my queue
3. Shipping will be charged separately once payments are completed
4. Payments are nonrefundable
5. Payments have a 5 day grace period from the due date. If payment is not received within the 5 day period, artwork will be put on hold

Queen of Arts Studio & Gallery is not like other artists/galleries. Finding the perfect home for my artwork is always my goal. I want to bring joy and love to your space through my work. There's nothing more satisfying than placing a Queen Shy Original or Custom painting in my clients' homes.
